About Me

I found guitar, or it found me, at 14. I play fingerstyle slide. My first teachers were the great blues players of the  Mississippi Delta and the Piedmont  -- Muddy Waters, John Hurt, Gary Davis, Robert Johnson -- and such classic country players as Sam MacGee Doc Watson, Merle Travis, Chet Atkins, and Jerry Reed. I perform solo and as part of a rockabilly trio we call The Divebombers.

My debut CD contains an eclectic blend of sources and styles ranging from the intricate proto-blues of Blind Arthur Blake, to the granddaddy of country guitar, Sam McGee, and American composer John Phillips Sousa. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
